Grandma & Grandpa Wanna Show Off

My parents run a small airport & they wanted me to make something to hang from the office door to show their pride. I love this little airplane from the New Arrival cartridge. I use it all the time.

Getting Ready

So as I am preparing stuff for the family while I am in the hospital I decide I need to make something just to get my nerves to settle a bit. I decided to do some simple sour cream containers & filled them with 4 kisses...one for each kid ;-). These cuties were done the night before I went in for the delivery. All the nurses loved them.

One more twinchie

Boo!!! The kids couldn't make up their mind on what kind of smile our little monsters should have. They wanted some happy & the rest were 'very hungry'. lol!

Halloween Twinchies

Candy apples anyone? I had just come home super excited to use my new toy...I was able to find Drippy Goo @ Michael's. Of course, I was ripping it out of the box excited to play & this is my version of a candied apple.

Halloween Inchies

I made these little guys for a swap. Gotta love the eye's on my little ghost. I used Paper Dolls for both the bat & the ghost & Plantin Schoolbook for the inchies.

Oh Hail No

So went into town to pick up some supplies & ran into a little bit of a storm. We had hail ranging from the size of golf balls to maybe the size of a penny. This was an incredible storm, in places there was so much hail that the ground was covered like fresh snow. What normally would have been a 20 minute drive took 45 minutes for us to get home. Yes, we had heavy rain & hail all the way. I took this clip with the new Cannon Powershot hubby got for his birthday.

Some Fantastic News!!!

Back in June I was diagnosed with a complete placenta previa & put on strict bedrest. Well, I had an ultrasound last week to check on my placenta. My Dr was trying to see how healthy it was so we could go ahead & schedule my c-section. Things didn't go too well with the tech that performed my scan & I was highly dissapointed with how things had gone. I really was expecting some more bad news, since she had been so rude. I guess she was just having a bad day or something.

Ok, so today we go see my Dr for the results & my regular visit. He walks in with the hugest smile on his face & informs us that a miracle has happened & my placenta has migrated & is no longer a problem. I am now a free woman! I have been released from all restrictions as long as I don't go too crazy & listen to my body. After being down so long, I'm kinda slow.

Our little girl is weighing about 5 lbs. 7 oz.~this is just a guess based on the ultrasound & is about a week ahead of schedule. This is probably because I had to have some steroid shots earlier in the pregnancy in order to strengthen her lungs. So if I happen to go into labor now, it's ok & we will proceed with the c-section. Otherwise I have a scheduled date of October 2.

Black & White Inchies

Oh no, I've been bitten by the inchies/twinchies bug.

I was checking out the swaps over on the Cricut MB & joined my first twinchie challenge. We had to do 30 of these cuties. Here is my first attempt. I used a Studio G stamp, some stickles & Bic mark-it's.

Rain!

Ok, so this is a silly post. ;0)

Oh my goodness, we never ever get rain like this. I think it started raining just before dinner & didn't stop 'til about 2:30 am. Earlier that morning we also picked up another 1/4".

Prayer Request

Please keep me & my family in your prayers. I am just getting home from an unexpected 3 day hospital stay. It turns out I have a complete placenta previa & am only at 23 weeks. So I will be on bed rest the remainder of the pregnancy.

A great day at the golf course

Our son will be in his first golf tournament tomorrow. He is super excited to be able to play! He will be in the 6-8 year old class.

*Update* 6/16/08

We are so super proud of Andrew. At the end of the first day, he was in a three way tie for 3rd place. He finished 5th overall. Way to go!!!

Thanks for making me a smartie

My kids & I made these for their teachers end of the year gifts. I used Tags, Bags, Boxes & More for the crayon box, the bus came from Doodlecharms, ribbon from Hobby Lobby, & filled them with Smarties.
